Art for All

Art is a communication that transcends sight, thought and emotion; in that it takes the whole of the being into a cycle of understanding and a search for a meaning in the communication that acknowledges the sameness in the human condition. My vision is to incorporate my visual love of color, scenes and conditions with the prose I write brought together through sound, sight and thought. We live in a time when our senses are on overload, our lives channeled into distinct paths; necessitating our catharsis through heart felt expressions in art, music and theatre. .

My mediums are many as I love creating, taking an idea to form, working with my hands and being present in my art. I love oils, for their texture and color palette. I build my own stretcher frames and most of my decorative frames. Sculpture, 3 dimensional art and engineered forms have been actively engaged in over my life time. The subjects for my art are selected for their representation of my feelings or reaction to an event and the desire to represent my connection to the motion, light, color and form of the subject.  I want my audience to find themselves in the spirit I convey through my mediums. 

Being present in the moment, while accepting the meditative nature of the art process in order to create works from the heart. The art process demands submersion into thought and emotions for the purpose of creation, and I thrive on the focused drive. My artistic intent is to represent our World, its inhabitants and places are the palette of life and become my subjects for transformational messaging. Love is the power that binds us to All in Life and when the heart is open the World is open.
